Thinking About a BA in Digital Media & Design?  

UConn’s BA in Digital Media & Design offers a flexible, interdisciplinary education that pairs creative skill-building with other academic interests across the university. Choose from three unique concentrations: 

  • Generalist: Build a broad foundation in design, animation, video, web, and interactive media. 
  • Business Strategies: Focus on digital marketing, branding, and strategic communication. 
  • Digital Culture: Explore how technology shapes society and design meaningful digital experiences.

Interested in a Professional Art & Design Degree? Consider the BFA.  

UConn’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is a four-year, studio-focused program that helps you hone your skills and build a professional portfolio. Before the end of your second year (third semester), you’ll specialize in one of our five concentrations:

  • 3D Animation: Master 3D production, from modeling to visual effects. (Offered only at Storrs campus)
  • Film & Video Production: Develop visual storytelling skills from pre-production to post.
  • Game Design: Design and develop interactive gaming experiences. (Offered only at Storrs campus)
  • Web/Interactive Media Design: Shape the future of digital experiences through web design, UI/UX, and creative coding.

This is a full four-year program and please be aware that 3D Animation and Game Design concentrations are exclusively offered at our Storrs campus.
