Extended Studies: Depending on your current academic progress, you may need to extend your studies by a semester or more, especially for the B.F.A. degree. Please review the Plan of Study for your desired concentration on our concentrations page.
-
Limited Availability: Due to the competitive nature of our program, we have limited spots available for major changes.
-

Portfolio Submission Steps
1. Tell us who you are
Personal Digital Media Story (1-Minute Video):
Create a 1-minute video using a smartphone or webcam telling us your personal story of engagement with and passion for Digital Media and Design.
- Explain why you believe UConn is the ideal place for your advanced studies.
- Focus on the substance of your story, not high production values.
- We will watch only 60-seconds of your video, so running longer than 1-minute will not help your application.
- Accepted video file formats: .mov, .mp4, or .wmv.
2. Show Us What You’ve Done!
Artistic Portfolio (Creative Work Samples):
You must upload a portfolio to Slideroom showcasing your strongest creative work in art, digital media, design, or related fields. Include a minimum of five diverse samples (maximum seven). Examples: films/videos, animations, digital imaging, traditional art, web design, writing samples.
For each work, provide clear captions containing:
